Overview

Serafin & Gloria Bakery and Cafe on MacArthur Hwy in San Fernando, Pampanga, stands out as a charming haven for brunch enthusiasts and casual diners alike. Nestled within a cozy and thoughtfully designed space, it offers an ambiance that merges vintage house elements with modern cafe warmth, making it ideal for relaxed meals, quiet study sessions, or casual meetups.

The cafe’s strength lies in its balanced menu that appeals to both traditional Filipino tastes and contemporary cafe offerings. Signature dishes like their flavorful tocino and comforting pasta showcase a dedication to quality and taste. Pastry lovers will find the ube and pistachio croissants notable for their freshness and distinct flavors, though sweetness levels may vary according to preference. On the beverage side, the Cookie Butter Latte is a crowd favorite, praised for its perfectly balanced sweetness, while options like the Matcha Latte and the unique “Gloria” drink provide a well-rounded coffee experience without overpowering sweetness.

Serafin & Gloria’s interior design enhances the dining experience, where small but inviting seating fosters intimacy without sacrificing comfort. The cafe’s intimate scale means seating is limited, particularly during peak times, so early visits or weekday trips are advisable for a quieter experience. The staff contribute significantly to the inviting atmosphere—accommodating, attentive, and ensuring service that makes guests feel truly welcome. Their hands-on approach means food often arrives at the table, allowing patrons to fully immerse themselves in the ambiance.

Practical notes include a currently limited parking situation and occasional traffic on MacArthur Highway, which can affect accessibility. Payment methods are mostly streamlined, but minor hiccups like occasional card terminal issues suggest the cafe is still tuning operations as it establishes itself. Additional conveniences such as free WiFi underscore its appeal for students, remote workers, and those looking for a cozy spot to unwind.

Overall, Serafin & Gloria Bakery and Cafe provides a thoughtfully curated experience that highlights authentic flavors, warm hospitality, and a quiet retreat in the heart of Pampanga. It’s a destination for those seeking a blend of local character and modern cafe culture—a place to savor good food, pleasant conversations, or moments of calm in a welcoming setting.

We went here for brunch and had an enjoyable experience. The dining area is dainty and cozy, perfect for a relaxed meal. Parking is limited, and traffic can be heavy, so it’s best to visit on weekdays and early in the morning. The food was great. The tocino was delicious, and the pastries didn’t disappoint. We tried the ube and pistachio croissant, both of which were flavorful and fresh. Prices are on the higher side, but worth trying. Their card terminal malfunctioned so the only option was to pay cash, and checkout was a bit slow. Understandable, as they’ve just opened — hopefully they improve the system soon.

I visited this coffee shop yesterday and it is definitely a 10/10 for me. I ordered the Cookie Butter Latte and I loved the taste. It is perfectly balanced and not too sweet. I also tried their cheese bread. It is good, though I wish it had a bit more cheese inside. The place itself is really nice. The ambiance is cozy and relaxing, perfect for studying or just chilling. The staff are very accommodating, and they serve the food right to your table so you do not need to get it yourself. They accept cash or card, and they also have WiFi which is a big plus. Fun fact: their restroom has a password and it honestly made me laugh hahaha. Highly recommended. I will definitely come back.

Beautiful interiors, warm atmosphere and welcoming staff. One of the few aesthetic cafes in Pampanga that actually offer good food. Pasta is flavorful, loved the type of pasta used. Pastries are a little too sweet for me, but to each his own. There’s limited seating capacity, expect some wait during peak hours. Will come back :)

The interior is great. Really appreciate how it blends old house elements to its design, really unique. Service is spot on, too. Their team is always ready to greet incoming and outgoing customers, and they are helpful too. The food and drinks we tried are ok - matcha latte, the Gloria, and cheese rolls. Matcha latte is not sweet, which is good, but for me, it lacks matcha taste. The Gloria is something unique, not too sweet as well. I think the cheese rolls should be offered to be reheated upon order-taking, we requested them to be reheated. Overall, this is a good café to work or just relax and enjoy your time.

After a few visits, the coffee drinks are consistently good. The pastries and croissants are very good, better than most compared to what is generally offered in San Fernando. The food is definitely on the expensive side. The place is small, so there won't be many customers even at peak time. The selection of drinks can be improved, like we are hoping for chocolate or decaf options in the future. But will definitely come back here again for the amazing pastries.

Love this new cafe in San Fernando! Great ambiance, parking, and warm interiors. I enjoyed the pistachio croissant and other pastries. I also liked how they greeted everyone in Kapampangan. I’m giving it 4/5 because I didn’t quite enjoy the Spanish latte—it felt lacking. Maybe that’s something they can improve, and nothing much to say about their drink menu YET. Overall, this is definitely a cafe I’ll go back to. Excited to see how they upgrade their drinks because their pastries are top-notch!

Went straight here after mass. It’s easy to find, just along the highway. They have limited parking at the side. Love the interior of the place. It’s homey, rustic, and charming to say the least. It smells so good inside — the aroma of freshly baked goodies. We came in early, probably their third customer. We loved their pistachio croissant, chicken and waffles, and iced sea salt latté. Their silogs and salmon were okay. Still has room for improvement. It took a while for some of our orders to be served but didn’t actually get bored ‘cause I approve of their choice in music haha. I think they also sell coffee beans and different kinds of pasalubong. Staff were all smiles and accommodating. CR door code can be found on your receipt. Excited to try other pastries on our next visit. We had a really nice time!
